Looking for a touch of continental European food while you are in London? Belgium is one country that has a magnificent reputation for great food, and Belgo is one of the best places to try it.

The chain has a number of branches throughout the city, although this review focuses on the restaurant in Chalk Farm.

Belgo has a wide range of rotisserie cooked meat, with the chicken in wild mushroom, herb and cream sauce being an excellent choice. Of course, for something truly Belgian the classic ‘moules et frites’ is also a great choice. The menu at Belgo is written in both Flemish and English for that authentically Belgian touch.

Another great reason to try Belgo is the range of beer! The beer menu is almost as long as the food menu, with something suitable for every taste.

The staff are very friendly and are eager to help you choose the right dish for your evening. All in all, Belgo is a delightful dining experience for those wishing to try some great Belgian cuisine at a reasonable price.

Martin - Having lived in London for over 10 years, Martin prides himself on his knowledge of the best places to spend a great night out….or at least, the best places to spend a great night out that sell alcohol. When he’s not reviewing London's most intriguing hotspots and hidden gems, he spends most of his time playing gigs around the city, so expect to see one of his shows promoted in the event calendar soon. Yeah, he has no shame.
